This training focuses on: the impact of multiple, chronic and uncontrollable stress on youth (poverty, acculturative stress); the importance of stress-coping “fit”, especially for uncontrollable stress; and the benefits of seeking social support and using culturally-valued strategies (faith based coping, family support) during stressful times to support youth mental health.
