Groundwater Approach Webinar
The depth of racial inequity in the United
States, across systems, can be compared to
how water flows underground, eventually
rising to the surface, visible to all…affecting
all. The “Groundwater Approach” uses this
metaphor to emphasize the racially structured
nature of our society and to solve racial
inequity by delving deep to its source.
Presented by the Racial Equity Institute, the
Groundwater Approach is a critical
presentation for elected and appointed
officials, members of the business, non-profit
and faith-based communities, and all
stakeholders interested in addressing and
solving racial inequity in a meaningful,
transformative way. A society free of racial
constructs is healthier socially, economically,
and morally. A winning combination for all.
This is a three hour webinar. Click on the view details for the dates and registration.
This two day Zoom workshop is designed to develop the capacity of participants to understand racism in its institutional and structural forms. Moving the focus from individual bigotry and bias, this workshop presents a historical, cultural, structural and institutional analysis of racism. With a clear understanding of how institutions and systems are producing unjust and inequitable outcomes, participants are better equipped to work for change. This paradigm shifting experience redefines issues of equity as they manifest themselves today in systems and institutions and the actions of individuals. These workshops will take place once a month.
